Re-Accreditation
We have had a very busy year as our Re-Accreditation by NACCC took place in May. After a comprehensive review of all our Policies and Forms to ensure we were compliant with the current NACCC Standards, we are delighted we have received our Accreditation for another 3 years. Our Assessor commented on our welcome and hospitality and said it was clear that the contact experience for children was very positive.
Volunteers
We have had a successful volunteer recruitment drive and look forward to the valuable contribution of our new Volunteers.
Training
a) 1st Aid Course
In April ten of our Volunteers undertook a 4-hour 1st Aid Course – Level 2 Basic Life Support including the Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator. This was delivered and assessed by qualified First Aid Instructors. It was a an intense and very interesting course which we all passed and received our Certificates.
b) Annual Safeguarding Training
All of our Volunteers successfully completed this Course during May.
Christmas Party 2023
We always hold a special party for the children on the Saturday before Christmas. We hire a special Bouncy Castle and Father Christmas always makes time to call in to hand out little gifts to each of our children. This is a scene from last year’s Party.
